Creative Strategist
Hey there!
I’m Emely, a Senior Creative Strategist and proud Texas Ex (hook ’em). I hold degrees in Advertising and Mexican American Latina/o Studies, along with a Business minor. My experience spans organic social, content creation, brand strategy, and copywriting across companies such as Ogilvy and C3 Presents. These roles have shaped my career in performance-driven creative strategy rooted in cultural and community insights. As a proud Mexican American, I am passionate about championing diversity and inclusivity for underrepresented communities in all my work.
During my time at UT Austin, I completed the Texas Creative Sequence, a world-renowned creative advertising portfolio program at the Stan Richards School of Advertising & Public Relations. I also served as Director of Strategy for the university’s student agency capstone, The Lab UT. From these experiences, along with my roles as an Ogilvy Strategy Intern for Verizon’s B2B social channels, Social Media Intern for UT’s Latino Studies department, and Festival Marketing Intern at C3 Presents, crafting social content for multiple music festivals, I have come to describe myself as a strategic creative.
Outside of work, you’ll often find me practicing yoga, journaling, unapologetically scrolling TikTok for what I like to call “social media research,” or enjoying live Latin music.
